5 semanas de voluntaria no Aramitan - Dieuwke (Holanda)

My name is Dieuwke Feenstra i'm from the Netherland and i stayed in Aramitan for 5 weaks.
Its a realy short time for somebody from so far away but it was al the time I could get off from my highschool. I'm 17 years old and this year we had a internship, the idea was to do something you wanted to be in the future.i don't really know what i want to be later on in my live but i heard of this project and decided to do this for my internship. I really loved Brasil so much and in my time at Aramitan i had a lot of fun. i felt very welcome but i had a problem with portuguese.
I don't speak it and they don't speak very much other language. Luckely some did speak english and german. 5 weeks is really to short to learn although i understand a bit more now.

the children are so sweet and with them you can play even though you don't speak portuguese.

I want to come back after my high school but for a longer period of time so i can learn the language better and do more things with the children, maybe in a time with more other volunteers.

 I'm really glad i went, even 5 weeks were way to short because it was a really nice experience and i met new people and a new part of the world. i have seen a part of Brail and not only one organisation.
I think everyone should go to places they don't know to see the differences because it gives a new perspective on your own few of the world.
